The Change

I cried out in my despair,

I need you are you there,

I never knew I always wondered,

The time was right,

Then to my delight,

Inside of me his love a glee,

So warm and tender he spoke to me,

The way no one has ever done,

A comforter I now know to be,

The loving God I am he,

The door was open, no one can shut,

Heart Rivers

Burst banks of rivers, rivers of the heart,

Overflowing, flooding never ceasing to start,

Vessels, like channels to the sea,

Living waters, constant endlessly,

Welling loving, gushing through life’s banks,

Opening eternal blessings calling from the quay

Rivers running through the heart, ebbing like the sea,

Pouring of the spirit, springs to set free,

Outlets of that love, that flows for you and me,

Gently whispering "Come to the rivers, swim in me,

Dive into the pool, or to the endless deepest sea,

To the smallest drops, or the reign in me,

Or to the inner side of life, that’s where your love will be

Deeper than the soul,

Long road

Life was in the fast lane,
Too busy to take the time,

Always doing something,
Never slowing down,

To see where I was going,
With this speedy life of mine,

My road seemed very long,
A journey with no end,

I did not see the danger,
Or what was round the bend,

Until you took the seat,
On the journey to my end,

When Darkness Falls

When darkness falls,
And the light grows dim,

Abundantly

Barren as a barren land,
Life was set to be,
Without a hope or prayer,
Before you came to me,
Like the sands without sea,
Dry and thirsty land,
Life with no future,
Nothing ever planned,
Until your streams of love,
Until you spoke to me,
Until you opened my eyes,
That caused my sight to see,
When my eyes were opened,
The love you gave to me,
Was flowing from the rivers,
Down from heaven into me,
That caused new life to grow,
Forever abundantly.

Growing

Something has started to grow in me,

I now know to be,

The love of God abounds,

Just a seed so small to start,

The sower he did start,

He watered it and nurtured it,

With loving tender care,

A small sweet sound within my heart,

To let me know he’s there,

The seed is getting stronger,

Each and every day,

The roots go deep inside

The shoots are everywhere,

True Love

He sang a song of love for me,
The day he opened my eyes to see

A true and faithful love is he,
To give me love that set me free,

He rose up high to victory,
When I submit  and let him be,

Now he sits upon his throne,

Born Again

You knew me from the womb,
From the breath, I first did make,
You stood there in the shadows,
When step I first did take,
Then I started growing,
And silently you wait,
For the day that soon is coming,
The day that they call fate,
But as my steps got wider,
I seemed to up the pace,
Your shadow started to fade,
As  I ran on life's fast race,
As the race got longer,
I could not see the end,
My life got very lonely,
I didn't have a friend,

Now I know It's true,
Dark shadows are behind me,
I've started afresh anew,
My childhood I have gone,

Knocking

The door to my life was closed,

When you asked if you could come in,

The lock was firmly bolted,

There seemed no entrance in,

The hinge to the door was rusty,

With all of life's past sin,

And with it firmly bolted,

A sign saying nobody's in,

But as I heard you knocking,

My heart seemed to melt from within,

The chains that had been bolted,

Burst forth to let you in,

Now the door is always opened,

It's party time within,

The table is never empty,

Rooms swept clean from sin,

The door is always opened,

And a sign saying welcome in.

Too Wonderful To Know

Wisdom comes from you,

You’ve been here from the start,

You’re the knowledge inside,

Deep down in the heart,

You’re the strength when weak,

You knew before time began,

Far beyond the universe,

Love Was Never Lost

A chance meeting,
That she would never forget,

Was it love at first sight,

Or a glimpse of eternity,

A heartbeat of love,
That lit up her world,

At that point she needed love,
Love caught hold of her,

In her emptiness,
