Long road

Life was in the fast lane,
Too busy to take the time,

Always doing something,
Never slowing down,

I did not stop to think,
Or even take the time,

To see where I was going,
With this speedy life of mine,

My road seemed very long,
A journey with no end,

I did not see the danger,
Or what was round the bend,

Until you took the seat,
On the journey to my end,

Until you fuel my tank,
With that holy spirit friend,

But now that we are cruising,
In life’s long road,

Now I take the time,
To read the bible code,

Your directions are clearer,
I can see my journey home.
